This is probably the quickest way from Carcassonne, missing out all the twisty bits of the other routes.
From Carcassonne, head for the A61 (E80) to Narbonne, and from there follow the A9 direction Montpellier.
Leave the A9 at Junct 35, Beziers Est. Follow directions to Bedarieux (D909).
Continue on this road to Herepian. In Herepian, turn left at the roundabout, D908 direction Olargues. The turning for Tarassac is 14km on the left just after St Martin and before Mons La Trivalle.
