The
busy town of Béziers
is just 40 minutes away, which provides easy access to the Languedoc's
coast with its famous miles of sandy beaches. These include Valras Plage
with its child-friendly bathing areas and beach-fronted restaurants, and
Cap D'Agde which even has an Aqualand
themepark.
Tarassac
itself is in the Parc
Naturel du Haut Languedoc, an area of stunning beauty with countless
activities including hiking, mountain biking, climbing, river swimming,
trout fishing, and Tarassac's own Kayak
Club which caters for both novice and expert. Follow the Orb down
to Roquebrun for an exhilarating experience

Worth a visit is the Lac
de Salagou - a beautiful man-made lake with lots of leisure facilities
- less than an hour away near Clermont l'Hérault
Of
course a holiday in France wouldn't be complete without extensive sampling
of the local foods and wines. We are very lucky to have a wide range of
good local restaurants, and there are major
vineyards surrounding St
Chinian and Faugères
for tasting or buying direct. The St Chinian area extends to Tarassac's
borders.
For
those who like a round of golf, there is a delightful 9 hole at nearby
Lamalou-les-Bain. Click
here for a PDF document listing the courses in the area. Lamalou is
also home to the area's casino and has a natural spa.
If you fancy
a trip further afield we are within striking distance of several of the
Mediterranean's highlights - Montpellier, The Camargue, Avignon, Marseilles,
and Andorra and the Pyrenees. The fabulous walled ciy of Carcassonne
is only an hour and a half away.
is also less than an 2 hours away and trips could be organised to Barcelona,
Salvador Dali's Museum
in Figures or his house
in Port Ligat.
Finally, opened
in December 2004 is the fantastic Millau
Viaduct - designed by Norman Foster and the highest bridge in the
world - well worth a trip if you didnt cross it on the way down. Want

OR
just take advantage
of our terrace and pool and gaze at the wonderful views with a glass of
St Chinian in hand
